How To Get Hundreds Of Webmasters To Promote YOUR Online Store!
BY: Jim Whitesell Words: 353
If you sell online with your own ecommerce web site, you are probably looking for new ways to promote your products. With the explosion of ecommerce websites in the last couple years it has become harder and harder to promote an online store without breaking the bank buying ads or clicks. How would you like to have hundreds or even thousands of websites all over the world promote your products without spending a dime on advertising? It can easily be done by setting up an affiliate program. It works like this: Webmasters sign up for free for your affiliate program. You provide then with special tracking links, banners, text, and other promotional material which they place on their website or in their newsletters. You end up with an ARMY of salespeople who are promoting your products without being paid up front! You only pay them when someone clicks of their special tracking link and complete a purchase. You can pay a percentage of the sale or a flat amount. It's a great win-win, since they get paid for referring buyers to you, but you only pay for advertising that actually paid off. Managing such a program is not hard at all. There are a wide variety of programs that allow you to easily manage your affiliates and track click-throughs and sales as well as affiliate payments. It's important that you select management software that provides statistics to you and your affiliates, and one that makes motivating and marketing to your affiliates easy. There is an added bonus to building an army of affiliates: with the right affiliate system in place, all those banners and text links to your products can greatly increase your site's search engine rankings by building inbound links to your site. If you are handy at html and graphics you should be able to install and customize a powerful affiliate script by yourself. If this sounds like a daunting task, paying an experienced web designer for a few hour's work may be a smart choice since you could have your affiliate program up and running in a matter of days. Jim Whitesell has been an ecommerce business consultant for over 10 years and helps companies find quality affiliate software and get ahead in Search Engines.
