There are many scams on the internet that promise a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. first, realize that anyone can make money online, but also realize that there is no magic button that will deposit Bill Gates money into your bank account.

Google Adsense offers web publishers a way to profit from their websites or blogs on the internet. Adsense can be very profitable if it is dealt with correctly. You will not see any sites that tell how much they make with adsense as this is forbidden, so the best advice is to dive in and see what everyone is raving about.

The first thing you must do is start a site, whether it is a regular website or a blog. I suggest starting with a blog as it is a free way to start and get a taste of what to expect. There are several good blogging services on the net that are free, find one that suits what you want to do, I suggest blogger because it is very easy to set up and it offers google adsense setup. Next, pick a subject that you are familiar with. If you are a new mother, write about your experiences as a new mother. If you sell cars, write about cars. Write about something you can relate to and just start writing. The best tip that anyone can give you for getting noticed is to write well and write often. If your writing is interesting, people will come back to read more, its that simple. The more visits you get, the better your chances of making more money.

For those that may be new to web publishing, I will quickly explain what Google Adsense is. Google Adsense is contextual advertising that will automatically put ads on your site relative to what you write about. Advertisers will pay for each click that is generated from your site that directs a reader to their site. This is a free service to the publisher and is a great way to monetize their site. Let me make something clear at this point. You are not allowed to click on your own ads! Many have thought of this before you and have had their sites banned from using adsense. Google knows if you click on your own ads. They monitor IP addresses to deter inflated advertising costs for their advertisers.
