So, you think you can build a successful Internet business. What makes you think that? Just because some lucky jerk in his underpants, without a job, turns nothing into millions you have decided if he can do it, so can I. O.K., so what are you going to sell? What's your product? How are you going to market that product? You think by finding someone online that will give you your very own FREE website you're going to become rich. There are over 600 million people online, what makes you think everyone is going to 'zero in' on yours. Guess what? It takes a little more action.

I'm not saying it can't be done. It can and is. But, you have to learn how to be successful and like any other business it takes work. You must plan, act on that plan and be consistent in your efforts.

What do I mean by "learn how to be successful"? Building an Internet business requires the knowledge of how to advertise and market your product, how to bring prospects to your website and how to turn those prospects into customers. BEWARE of the get rich quick schemes. You need training and support, not hype.

If you did a search right now on the keywords "Internet Business" or "Work at Home" or "Online Business Opportunities" you would get hundreds of thousands of page listings. Which one do you choose? There are good ones, bad ones and SCAMS. So, before you even think of starting a business online you will have to do some research and investigation. Check with ICOP, Trust.E or the BBB (Better Business Bureau).

Remember I mentioned the word "plan". What is your business going to look like? What do you want to achieve? What is your budget, what can you afford to invest in your business? These are some of the questions that you must answer before taking the initiative of starting your own business online. No matter what, however, the Internet guru's will all tell you that multiple streams of income and/or residual income are keys to success, believe them.

If you have a strong desire to build an Internet Business you can be successful. But you must be willing to put in the effort. There are many reputable companies with viable business opportunities on the Internet. Do the research, plan, budget and make sure the training and support are in place to help you when it's needed. Success will come, maybe not quickly, because it's an endurance race. Learn, plan, take action, budget, persist …
